How do I get started?

Getting started is easy. Simply fill out our initial consultation form and book in for a 1:1 private session.

What if I have done pilates before?

If you have done pilates before and prefer to join the semi private 1:3 classes we still ask that you fill out the initial consultation form and attend an initial 1:1 private session/initial consultation. This will ensure we can provide you with the very best individualised program and ensure that you understand the principles of pilates as they relate to your body before joining a small group.

How long are the classes?

Our 1:1 private classes are 1hr and our semi private 1:3 classes are 45 mins

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing that is not too loose so that we can check your alignment as you move. It is best to avoid zippers, or clothing with long ties that may get caught in the pilates equipment. We recommend removing jewellery for your class for this purpose as well.

Can pilates improve my sports performance?

Pilates is the perfect performance enhancer for both amateur and elite athletes. The modifiable nature of the exercises and equipment make pilates an excellent modality for facilitating injury prevention, rehabilitation and sports specific exercises. Pilates is also an excellent recovery tool for elite athletes as it’s low impact.

I’m pregnant – can I do pilates?

Definitely. Pilates is the gold standard when it comes to exercise that is suitable for pregnancy. With a focus on breathing, pelvic floor and joint mobility and stability engaging in a pilates practice prior to birth will not only help prepare your body for the birth but also help you recover more quickly during the post natal phase.
